Hellas Verona coach Igor Tudor says they deserved their 2-1 win against Empoli.
Adrien Tameze struck late to secure the points for Verona.
"Verona won with their strength, with their talents," said Tudor afterwards. “With character, physical preparation, the quality of the individuals.
“It was a good match. In the end we deserved it because we created more. We restarted with a bit of carelessness, then there was the desire from both sides to score, and in the last 10 minutes we pushed harder."
He added: “I don't want to get unbalanced. The lads are doing really well, but you won't hear anything sensational from me.
“There's the target to reach safety and on Saturday we have another battle."
