Heise happy to leave Norwich for Nurnberg

Norwich City loanee Philip Heise says that he is very much enjoying his time in Germany.

He is at FC Nurnberg until the end of the season. And he may want to stay there for next term as well.

Heise struggled to get into Daniel Farke's Canaries team in the Premier League.

Returning to a team in Bundesliga 2 has given him a chance to find his form again.

The 28-year-old would rather move on in the summer than endure another season of being in the Norwich under-23 team.

He said the following to reporters after his Nuerenberg debut: "It was an indescribable feeling. I was nervous and felt like I was a ten-year-old allowed to kick around with my friends again."

He went on to say: "It annoyed me when I could only train twice in Spain. I switched here to show my performance and to focus on myself again. But now everything has gone well.

"This is a club I could imagine staying at. But that is not just my decision, but also that of Nuernberg," Heise told Bild following his debut at the weekend.
