Heckingbottom sets Sheffield Utd new West Brom target

Sheffield United interim manager Paul Heckingbottom says catching West Bromwich Albion would mean everything to his team.

The Blades suffered a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, leaving them rock bottom of the table with 14 points.

They are seven points behind West Bromwich Albion with seven games to go, and Heckingbottom hopes his side can catch the baggies.

"We want to catch West Brom [in 19th place]," Heckingbottom said.

"It's got big meaning in terms of pride and it's got a financial reward as well. Forget the idea of 20 points. We can't shy away from the position we're in. We have to attack these moments in the best possible way to make us stronger.

"The players have to learn from this and be in a position to come out stronger if it ever happens again. We have older players who can help the younger ones who can help develop a mentality. It's only then that the good times can come back."
