Aston VillaTom Heaton was asked about the best defender he had played with throughout his career.

Heaton made an appearance on Match of the Day 2, as his side were not involved in the weekend's games.

But when he was asked about the best defensive teammate, 33-year-old Heaton mentioned Burnley defender Ben Mee.

Heaton was at Burnley for six years before this season.

"I have been fortunate enough to play with a lot of good defenders and the outstanding candidate for me is Ben Mee," he said on the BBC programme.

"You always know what you are going to get from him, he is blocking plenty of shots in front of you so he would be my first one."
