Hearts wage problems not bothering players insists Barr

Heart of Midlothian's financial issues are not distracting the players according to defender Darren Barr.

The Edinburgh club could face sanctions after again being late with their player payments in September and October but Barr insists that the playing group are solely focused on getting results as the off-field stuff will take care of itself.

"We can only think about ourselves and what we do on the park," he said.

"Everything else takes care of itself so hopefully we can carry on talking about the performances.

"The wages are one of these situations I'd rather not speak about but hopefully it's only going to bring us closer. We just want to get three points and do well for the manager.

"Our focus is just on games and winning for Hearts. That's all we can do. The performance on Sunday showed we can get back with the best because Motherwell are a top side as well.

"We've been playing well recently but we've just not been getting results. It was a dogged performance and it was good to get that win."
