Austrian striker David Witteveen has impressed Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo and could be offered a deal. The former Red Bull Salzburg forward spent the week with the Tynecastle side in Germany and featured in all four of their matches.

He has now returned to Salzburg but is expected to jet into Edinburgh for contract talks within the next 24 hours.

"We will talk in Edinburgh," Laszlo told Hearts News.

"If he can learn a bit and build up then he can be a good player I think."
