Heart of Midlothian's Ryan McGowan was fortunate that a steward found his Scottish Cup winners medal after he lost it on Saturday.
The Australian defender scored as the Jambos beat Edinburgh rivals Hibernian 5-1 in the final at Hampden on Saturday but returned to the dressing room without his medal around his neck.
McGowan feared he had lost the silverware for good but was over the moon when a steward found it and handed it back to Hearts officials.
"I came into the dressing room, looked down and thought 'where's my medal?'
"The little clasp or whatever had fallen off.
"I think a steward found it, which was good going with all that confetti on the pitch. ~
"I don't know what I'm going to do with it to be honest. Keep it for now and probably take it home - my mum will be dying to see it.
"It wasn't until the end when someone asked for a photo with the medal that I went to hold it up, then saw there was nothing there.
"I'm lucky that someone found it for me and gave it back.""I actually lost my medal on the pitch. I couldn't find it and there was a real moment of panic for me," McGowan said.
