Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda has returned to Vitesse Arnhem to complete his loan.
Musonda suffered a knee injury just days into the deal after breaking down in a friendly game. However now fully fit, Musonda was back in training with Vitesse this week.
“It must now go well. I feel fit. The knee feels good. I have to train now," Musonda told De Gerlander.
Musonda admits he aims to play in the Eredivisie next season.
"That is the intention. Although the deal is not yet complete."
Indeed, Musonda could play for Vitesse THIS season with the European playoffs looming.
Vitesse coach Leonid Slutsky said, “We are looking at how we can increasingly burden him. We hope to have Charly in the play-offs. But we are careful. He hasn't played football for a year because of that knee injury."
