Hayden Roberts only thinking of Brighton breakthrough

Brighton defender Hayden Roberts says his dream is to make it with the Seagulls.

Roberts has been linked with Leeds United.

But speaking to Sussex Live, he said: “I wouldn't say there's more pressure than what's on other players, but it means a bit more to play for the club because I come from the city and from a family of Brighton supporters.

"I also have a lot of friends who support the club. I grew up dreaming of playing for my local team when they were in League One and I used to go to Withdean and watch games with my dad.

"To see the transition of the club to the Amex and the Premier League is just amazing and it's an honour every time I put on the shirt.

"It would be a dream to go on and play regularly for my local team in the Premier League, just like Lewis Dunk has done."
