Hayden embracing Championship as Arsenal starlet adapts at Hull

Isaac Hayden believes he is developing as a player due to the experience in the Championship so far with Hull City.

Hayden may not have had too many opportunities for first team football at Hull since his loan move from Arsenal earlier this summer but the midfielder believes that he has grown as a player during his time in the second tier.

The 20-year-old said: "The Championship is a tough league physically but in terms of general play it's a lot more direct than the Premier League. There's a lot less passes into midfield and as a midfielder you have to do a different job in the Championship.

"Where I'm used to picking up the ball from centre-backs all the time, making angles, quick movements, now it's a lot more direct, back to front. You have to play a lot quicker, with less build-up play.

"I've found that quite difficult but I'm learning all the time. It's different styles of play and I'm adapting. There's more than one way to play football and this is helping me develop."
