Jakob Haugaard is set to be handed the gloves for Stoke City ahead of this weekend's clash with Swansea City.
The 23-year-old Dane, who joined the Potters in the summer, will step in to replace Jack Butland who suffered a fractured ankle on England duty on Saturday.
Haugaard will take the number one position for Mark Hughes with veteran Shay Given still not ready for action after injuring his knee in October.
The former FC Midtjylland keeper has made two appearances fort Stoke, both in the FA Cup, and will now debut in the Premier League in Saturday's visit of the Swans.
21-year-old Austrian shot-stopper Daniel Bachmann will sit on the bench to deputise for Haugaard.
