Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has rejected a surprise offer from Portsmouth.
The News of the World says Hasselbaink has turned down the chance to join Portsmouth as assistant manager.
Hasselbaink was the surprise choice at the Premier League strugglers after Gary McAllister decided not to join Paul Hart.
The ex-Holland international completed his UEFA ProLicence with old Chelsea team-mate Gianfranco Zola last summer.
Hasselbaink, 37, has always had coaching ambitions but is cautious about his first role on the training field.
