Hasselbaink: Many Chelsea players not good enough

Chelsea came in for heavy criticism from pundits after losing 4-1 to Manchester United.

The Blues were wiped off the pitch in the second half by the Red Devils, giving up numerous outstanding goalscoring chances in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Post-game, Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and former Liverpool and Tottenham star Jamie Redknapp laid into the team coached by caretaker Frank Lampard.

Redknapp stated first on Sky Sports: “The problem is you can't just say 'I don't want you anymore, you have to go', these players they are on big contracts, this is a lot more difficult than people think."

Hasselbaink added: “He [incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino] might have to be ruthless, if you're not gone you might have to train at a different time with a different squad.

“You have to keep the team you want to work with separate from ones who will be disappointed. He might have to be ruthless."

“He will have to be," Redknapp added.
