Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to return to the Bundesliga to boost his new squad.
The Mirror says Hasenhuttl intends to go back to Germany in next month's transfer window to strengthen his side.
Top of the list for former Leipzig coach Hasenhuttl is Germany Under-21 striker Davie Selke, who would cost £14million from Hertha Berlin.
Leipzig's France Under-21 defender Dayot Upamecano, with a price tag of £30m, is also on the radar.
Hasenhuttl succeeded Mark Hughes as Saints manager last week.
