Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl wants the team to cope with the absence of striker Danny Ings.
The centre-forward came off in the 57th minute against Tottenham in a 2-1 defeat, after having put the team 1-0 up earlier in the game.
Hasenhuttl knows losing Ings for some of the team's remaining Premier League games of the season is a blow, but says other players must step up.
Asked if Ings going off led to his side collapsing against Spurs, Hasenhuttl said, per the Daily Echo: "We still have subs that can come in, do a good job and they are fresh.
"I didn't have the feeling that our subs helped us also.
"Ingsy is a good player, yes, but we must be able to come over the line without him."
