Southampton manager Ralph Hasenuttl admits he is having some issues with his winter transfer targets for the club.
The Saints are suffering significantly due to injuries throughout the squad.
Hasenhuttl's team lost 2-0 to Leicester City on Saturday, and they will be hoping to dip into the market.
Asked about the prospect of transfers, especially a creative player, the Austrian told reporters: "No. I don't know.
"We have our eyes open.
"The options that we have, they have potential and are not really players who can help us at the moment.
"Players who can help us immediately cost a lot of money and this is what we cannot do."
