Hartlepool United are keen on Australia international midfielder Kasey Wehrman. Pools boss Chris Turner returned from a scouting trip on the continent earlier this week where he watched a Monday night game - thought to be SK Brann's win over Fredrikstad in the Norwegian league.

While Turner remains silent on which players he was watching, the director of sport was impressed with a target identified before Monday's game.

Sources in Norway suggest that player was Wehrman, who reportedly starred during the match and whose contract status would undoubtedly appeal to the Pools boss, says Peterlee Today.
