Hart blunder sees Watford defeat Spurs in friendly

Joe Hart conceded poorly for Tottenham in Saturday's 2-1 friendly defeat to Watford.

Hart had an afternoon to forget during his 45-minute spell in the 2-1 defeat to the Championship side at Vicarage Road.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho had one last chance to run the rule over his squad before next Sunday's Premier League opener against Everton.

But the Special One was not given any selection headaches by summer signing Hart.

The former England international would have been disappointed when Hornets midfielder Domingos Quina found the net from distance.

The 20-year-old was given the space to shoot when Tottenham's defence backed off and his strike gave Watford the lead after 20 minutes.

The home side then doubled their advantage before the break when Dennis Cirkin lost his composure and brought down Tom Dele-Bashiru in the box.

Spurs did finally manage to get on the score sheet ten minutes from time as Glen Murray gave away a penalty by tripping up Erik Lamela. Heung-min Son duly converted.
