Harry Winks was thrilled to feature in Tottenham's EFL Cup win over Gillingham.
The 20-year-old made his first start for his boyhood club on Wednesday, completing the full 90 minutes in a 5-0 EFL Cup win over Gillingham.
“I loved every minute of it, it's something I've been waiting for since I was five," Winks said.
“To go out there and start the game and win as well, that capped it off. I'm over the moon about it.
“We were in control from start to finish but in any game, especially in the cups, teams can catch you on the counter-attack so as soon as Christian [Eriksen] scored it settled the nerves and from there, we took it on a step further."
