Harry Wilson sees Hull move as path into Liverpool first team; Adkins delighted

Harry Wilson sees his long-term future with Liverpool.

The midfielder penned a new deal this week before joining Hull City on-loan to the end of the season.

Wilson has also stated his plot to catch the eye of Reds boss Klopp and new Wales manager Ryan Giggs.

"The manager at Liverpool is a great man-manager and he always has time for his players," he said.

"He respects every player in the same way. I had a few chats with him and I was happy to come to Hull.

"I'm also hoping that this move will help me to get into the new Wales manager's thoughts.

"I'm with the U21s at the minute [with Wales], but I've been involved with the first team a few times and I want more of that.

"So there's two new managers that I have to impress as well as Liverpool and I'm looking forward to giving my best to do that."

Hull boss Nigel Adkins believes Wilson will provide his struggling side with an added attacking dimension.

"Harry is a talented young player. He's got plenty of talent and ability - but he's also a good guy," he said.

"He's captain of Liverpool's Under-23 side and he'll come in and give us a different dimension.

"Although the deal was announced late in the evening once he'd arrived in Hull, everything was actually agreed and signed off earlier in the afternoon.

"As I say, I'm delighted to have him here and looking forward to seeing him out on the pitch."
