Harry Wilson rejects new Liverpool contract offer

Harry Wilson has rejected a new contract offer from Liverpool.

Preston North End are seeking to take the midfielder on-loan in January.

ESPN says the Welshman has opted not to sign a new deal at Anfield, with first-team opportunities limited for the 20-year-old.

Wilson is Liverpool's leading scorer in the Premier League 2 this season, with nine goals and three assists in 10 appearances, with the Reds top of the table.

But he has found himself down the list of Jurgen Klopp's preferred attackers, with the Fab Four of Philippe Coutinho, Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in fine form this term.

Wrexham-born Wilson has also been given his international debut for Wales, coming on for the injured Tom Lawrence in their World Cup qualifier against Ireland in March.
