Hannover chief Heldt confirms Liverpool won't send Kent

Hannover chief Horst Heldt admits a deal for Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is off.

Heldt had hoped to sign the midfielder on a season-long loan, but the Reds missed a Wednesday deadline to agree a deal.

"This is completely legitimate of Liverpool. It would have been difficult anyway," conceded Heldt.

In England the transfer window closes at 11pm, in Germany at 6pm. With a flight, medical check and transfer contract including translation being required, there would be little time to close a deal.
