Hangeland: I don't recognise us from the Fulham of Hodgson

Fulham skipper Brede Hangeland is shocked by the relegated club's demise.

Hangeland believes Fulham have become unrecognisable from the club that reached the Europa League final four years ago following their relegation from the Premier League at the weekend.

He told Get West London: "It's about four years ago since I played in a European Cup final and, if I'm honest, I don't recognise anything from what we did back then, which was probably the best Fulham team of all time.

"It's changed drastically; I'm the only player left, the style of play and how we did things. It worked really well for us then and I don't really know why we changed away from that.

"I think we had a really good style of play, work ethic and right values, and I don't see much of that at the moment, unfortunately.

"It's been a terrible, terrible season and has ended in the worst possible way. It's definitely the lowest point of my football career."
