Fulham captain Brede Hangeland admits they're running out of time to beat the drop.

The club are bottom of the Premier League and four points from safety with just nine games to go as they prepare to host Newcastle United.

Captain Hangeland said: "We can do it but we are well aware that time is running out and we need to start picking up wins. We are desperate for points and this is a home match we need to win.

"You never know how many points you need to survive but we need better form than we have shown, everyone knows that.

"We look no further than tomorrow for hopefully a win that will kick off the rest of our season."
