Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is confident they'll bounce back from last season's poor campaign.

Inter finished a dismal ninth last term.

"In my opinion, nothing happens by accident," the goalkeeper told Sky Sport Italia.

"Even negative seasons like our last one can be useful. We need to restart without forgetting those mistakes and the humiliation.

"The fact that we have no European commitments this time around will be, I think, an advantage. But for now we only need to think about working hard and then we'll see how far we can go."
