Hamilton starlet Hendrie on QPR, West Ham radar

Stephen Hendrie is attracting interest from both West Ham United and QPR according to Hamilton Academical.

The 19-year old left-back is coming along in leaps and bounds for the Accies with impressive performances in his 16 appearances in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Hamilton chairman Les Gray has confirmed the interest in Hendrie and added that if the right offer was to land in the New Douglas Park inbox, the South Lanarkshire club may be forced to offload the talented Scotland U19 and U21 international.

"West Ham have been watching Stephen for some time, as have several major clubs including QPR. That's the level we are discussing," he said.

"There is nothing concrete at this stage, but that will all kick off now I am sure.

"He is under contract, under 23, has played over 100 games and is part of the Scotland U19 set-up.

"So if somebody was to come in with the right offer we would not stand in the boy's way. We promote our kids and encourage them to move to the next level."
