Hamilton resigned to losing McArthur at end of season

Hamilton boss Billy Reid fully expects James McArthur to leave at the end of the season. West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo confirmed this week he is still keeping tabs on the talented 22-year-old, who has been the subject of transfer speculation for some time.

"It's not a worry," said Reid.

"James can't move anywhere until the end of the season. I fully expect him to move at the end of the season and I think the timing would be right for him.

"I know James is committed to Hamilton Accies until then. He has served his apprenticeship at Accies and he would leave with our blessing.

"It's great that clubs are taking an interest and it's no surprise really."

He added: "I know his character and I'm not worried at all. He is one of the most committed young men I've worked with.

"He doesn't even like getting beat at training. I just know it won't be a problem for James McArthur."
