Hamburg defender Jerome Boateng is due to Eastlands today.
The Times says Boateng is expected to have a medical today before signing for Manchester City. The club have agreed a £10.46 million fee with Hamburg for the defender, who will return to Germany to fly with the squad to South Africa tomorrow night.
He is expected to be among four players that City try to secure, including Barcelona midfielder Yaya Touré and Aston Villa's James Milner.
