Chelsea are eyeing Germany U21 defender Jerome Boateng.
Blues football chief Frank Arnesen was impressed by the Hamburg defender during this month's European Championships.
Boateng, 22, is tied to Hamburg until 2012 and is being linked with Chelsea as a replacement for Ricardo Carvalho.
