Hamburg SV are pushing to sign Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby this week.
The Hamburger Morgenpost says HSV chief Dietmar Beiersdorf has already met with Holtby to discuss a return home to Germany.
The midfielder, it has emerged, was offered to Crystal Palace by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy last month.
Holtby is tied to Spurs until 2018 and HSV are understood to be keen on an initial loan deal with the view to signing him permanently in June.
The midfielder spent part of last season on-loan with Fulham.
