Hamburg chief Jens Todt admits they're keen to secure winger Tatsuya Ito to a new deal.
The Japanese whizkid is attracting interest from Manchester City and Inter Milan, with his deal to expire in June.
Todt admits they're about to enter "intensive contract talks" with Ito's management.
Ito's consultant Maurizio Morana confirmed: "Tatsuya wants to stay very much in Hamburg. We are in negotiations.
"If everything is right, then nothing will stop HSV."
