Hamburg boss Martin Jol says the pressure in Germany is as intense as what he experienced in England with Tottenham.

Jol has re-established himself with Hamburg after losing his job at White Hart Lane in October 2007.

His side face Manchester City in the UEFA Cup quarter-final at Eastlands on Thursday night, holding a 3-1 lead from the first leg.

Asked if there is more pressure on Premier League managers than their German counterparts, Jol said: "That is what people probably think.

"But believe me, it is the same in the Bundesliga. Maybe you can give Klinsmann a call!"
