Liverpool Champions League winner Didi Hamann has no doubts about the quality of Naby Keita.
Against Bournemouth the 24-year-old put in a man of the match display and was even on the scoresheet as Liverpool ran out 3-0 winners.
He followed this up with another standout performance in the Reds' crunch Champions League group clash with his former club RB Salzburg, finding the back of the net in a consecutive match.
Revealing what Hamann recently told him about Keita, former Reds striker Michael Owen said on BT Sport: "I remember speaking to Didi Hamann about this guy when he was at Leipzig and he was saying people have got this lad wrong.
"They think he's a sitting midfielder, but he's nothing like that, he's an attacking midfielder who will score goals.
"We're seeing that. He likes breaking through.
"He's not a 10 who stands there and has his back to goal, but he does like moving on to the ball."
