Wolves keeper Marcus Hahnemann is confident he will be offered a new contract should the Midlanders retain their Premiership status. The 37 year old American stopper signed a 12-month contract in the summer following his release from Reading and so far there has been little talk of extending his stay.
"The one thing we have to point out is that if the team stays up, everything kind of takes care of itself," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"All the little contract negotiations and everything, if the team stays up it all falls into place, no matter.
"You can get sidetracked sometimes because ultimately it is only you that you have to take care of down the road, so it is difficult.
"But when you can put all that stuff aside, and just go out and play the games and try to get the results that you can, then everything does just take care of itself."
