Hahnemann insists no need to panic at Reading

Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann says they're in a strong position to beat the drop.

"You could look at it [the Wigan game] and say it is two points dropped. The point we did gain was so valuable because Birmingham drew and Fulham ended up winning, but us just staying ahead of the other two teams Birmingham and Fulham is the ultimate goal here," Hahnemann told Sky Sports News.

"We don't have to catch anyone else all we have to do is stay above those two teams and that is going to be done by getting more points than them as simple as that.

"Last week it was three games now it is down to two games and we are probably going to need a win and a draw or two wins.

"Who knows how they are going to do in their games?

"All we can do is play as good as we can, stick together and try to get a win this weekend against Tottenham.

"No matter what happens on the weekend if we don't get anything from Tottenham we will find ourselves in the bottom three so we have to get something.

"It is not down to what anybody else does it is only down to what we do."
