Guzan to hold Aston Villa talks

Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan says he will hold talks with the club sometime this summer.

The 30-year old was left out of Villa's final five matches of the season, including Saturday's FA Cup final loss to Arsenal, and is keen to speak with manager Tim Sherwood about his plans going forward.

"First and foremost, we wanted to survive and we did that," he told MLSsoccer.com.

"Then, we got to the cup final and it wasn't the result we wanted. That was just a few days ago, but I'm sure there will be some discussions going forward."

Veteran custodian Shay Given was handed the gloves by Sherwood after Guzan started the first 34 Premier League matches of the season prior to his howler in the 3-2 loss to Manchester City on April 25 which gifted Sergio Aguero the opening goal.
