Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has said that all the German players who won the Champions League with Chelsea are in high spirits ahead of Euro 2020.
Gundogan was a loser in that final with City, as they were defeated 1-0 by Chelsea through a goal from his countryman Kai Havertz.
As the Germans prepare for Euro 2020, which starts on Friday, Gundgoan mentioned how Havertz, Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger were in high spirits because of their recent club success.
"The Champions League win gives players a boost, gives them confidence," he told reporters during a press conference.
"Especially Kai, who scored the winner, has been given a massive [confidence] boost, which we can use to help us as a team.
"I'm happy for them, they deserved it."
