Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan does not believe they are favourites to win the UEFA Champions League.

City are involved in the last 16 of the competition, where they face Schalke 04.

While it is a clear ambition for everyone at the club to win the competition, City know they are not in the top tier of competition favourites.

City have still to reach the semi finals or final of the competition.

"We are definitely not ahead of Real Madrid or Barcelona but certainly not far behind," Gundogan said to Bild.
