Ilkay Gundogan has hailed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola has made a dream start to life at City and the 4-0 triumph over AFC Bournemouth on Saturday was the Citizens' eight consecutive victory under the Spanish tactician.

Summer signing Gundogan scored in the win over the Cherries and the German international has now gone on to praise Guardiola by stating that the players are able to learn so much from him.

"It's really nice to work with him, to be honest," he said.

"He's a very nice guy and he just tries to make us better and better. He's focused on so many details, not just on the field also off the field.

"It's just fun to work with him and his staff. It's a big impact for us as players.

"We can just learn from him. He achieved so many things in his career until now. We can just be happy to be his player."
