Gundogan assures Man City fans: I am alright, I am alright

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan says he'll be fit for the Champions League final against Chelsea.

Gundogan took a knock to the knee during City's defeat to Brighton last week and he was forced to come off before the hour mark.

The German then missed Sunday's 5-0 win over Everton as Pep Guardiola's side lifted the Premier League trophy at the Etihad.

Gundogan, however, says he is fully fit ahead of this weekend's Champions League final against Chelsea as he eyes more silverware.

“I am alright, I am alright," said Gundogan.

“I was a little bit cautious in that Brighton game, because of the knock on my knee I started to feel all the muscles around a little bit and obviously I didn't want to pull anything.

“So that is why we were a little bit cautious. But I didn't miss any training session after that game, so I am feeling good."
