Former Newcastle United boss Ruud Gullit insists his ex-Chelsea teammate Dennis Wise isn't to blame for the turmoil at St James' Park.

"Dennis has been appointed by the owner, so he just did what the owner wanted," Gullit told Setanta Sports News.

"So you can't blame him for that. It is not his fault."
