Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin dedicated victory over Siena to their away fans.
The Friulani beat Siena 2-1 to go top of the table, just days after their 4-0 Europa League defeat to Atletico Madrid.
"We are very happy to be on top and this time we'll be here for at least 15 days because of the break for international duty," said the Coach.
They are joint leaders with Lazio thanks to the fact Napoli-Juventus has been called off.
"I dedicate it to those 1,500 fans who followed us to Madrid and had to see us embarrass ourselves.
"We struggled a little towards the end against a Siena side lead by a wonderful Coach like Giuseppe Sannino, so they were very difficult to beat. Nonetheless, we managed to play a good game."
