Adlene Guedioura hopes to win a permanent stay with Wolves.
The 24-year-old is only tied down to Wolves until the end of the season, but a three-year deal with the player and his Belgian employers Charleroi has already been agreed.
"I have to be happy with my performance, but it's only one match and I've got to be consistent if I'm going to be a success here," he told the Express and Star.
"I don't want to sound pretentious, but I do what I can and if I can help, then great. I can't say I can be the difference in us staying up, because the difference will be us all pulling together as a team.
"But the more I play, hopefully the better I will get. I want to show the manager and the fans that I'm good enough to stay here.
"It's not my decision, because I have to show what I can do on the pitch to earn the contract."
