Gudjohnsen admits Premier League return a possibility

Eidur Gudjohnsen could return the Premier League after admitting his time as a Barcelona player may be over. The striker has recently been the subject of speculation linking him with a return to England, where he spent eight years with Chelsea and Bolton.

Barca coach Pep Guardiola is thought to be keen to offload the 30-year-old before his contract expires next summer and Gudjohnsen admits he is unsure where his future lies.

"I can't confirm whether I'm staying or leaving. I think it's a matter of time and only time will tell what will happen. My future is a little bit uncertain," Gudjohnsen said.

"For the moment I'm a Barcelona player but we all know in football that everything can change very quickly.

"I'm only thinking about getting myself fit for the new season, whether that be with Barcelona or another club. We will see.

"I look back at my time (in England) with great memories. It was a wonderful time but whether I will return to England is not so sure. I think we can only see what the future holds."
