Guardiola warns title winners of massive Man City overhaul

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is prepared to overhaul his title winning squad this summer.

City already have already retained the Premier League and League Cup this season, but fell in the last eight of the Champions League — and their manager said he is prepared to get ruthless this summer.

That will require changes, with Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane, Ilkay Gundogan, Fabian Delph, Nicolas Otamendi and Claudio Bravo all potentially leaving in the coming transfer window.

“I'm not going to say how many [players will leave] because it depends on many things," said Guardiola.

“Every player has to feel, 'I have to play good or I don't play' if you want to be consistent after what we've done these two seasons. They have to feel, 'I have to win again. If not, I have problems. I'm in trouble. I cannot be any longer here.'

“People say how beautiful it is, but we have to win again and again and again and the players have to feel that.

“It was incredible, but from the first day of next season we start from zero and I have to see what I've seen in these last three seasons, especially in terms of results."
