Guardiola wants Bayern Munich keeper Neuer at Man City

Pep Guardiola reportedly wants Manuel Neuer to join him at Manchester City.

The Spaniard will leave Bayern Munich to take the reins at the Etihad Stadium in the summer and is hoping the star goalkeeper follows him to England.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Guardiola is determined to have with him at City a gloveman with Neuer's attributes but with not many of them around, may be forced to try and lure the 29-year-old from the Allianz Arena to Manchester.

It is believed that Neuer is after a new contract at Bayern and is demanding £300,000-a-week which would not worry City but may make life difficult in terms of agreeing a transfer fee.

The possible pursuit of the Germany international could spell trouble for current City no.1 Joe Hart but the likelihood of Bayern selling such a prized asset to a direct European rival is highly unlikely.
