Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was such a fan of Manuel Neuer's ground game that he wanted to play the Bayern Munich goalkeeper as an outfield player.
That's according to Bayern chief exec Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
He revealed: "I still remember how Pep Guardiola, after winning a championship, seriously had the idea to prepare him for a match in midfield.
"It was difficult for me to dissuade Pep from this idea...
"Why? Well, some of us might have been interpreted as arrogant."
