Guardiola proud of Man City after record-breaking win over Swansea

Manchester City are into the FA Cup quarter-finals after a record-breaking 3-1 win over Swansea City on Wednesday.

The Sky Blues have now set a record for successive domestic wins by an English top-flight club with 15 victories.

Pep Guardiola's side have not lost since November and can still win on four fronts this season.

Kyle Walker opened the scoring at Liberty Stadium, the England international seeing his cross miss everyone including Swans goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus made it 3-0 within five minutes of the second-half resuming.

Morgan Whittaker, a loan signing from Derby County, grabbed a consolation goal with practically his first touch as a Swansea player.

Asked about breaking the consecutive win record, Guardiola said: "It is a message for ourselves. We came to win that was the most important thing.

"We cannot deny how pleased and how proud we are to break this record from a long time ago. Records are there to be broken. It is not easy in the modern era to do 15 games in a row. We are happy for our club."
