Manchester City continued their preparations for the new Premier League season with an emphatic 4-1 win over Blackpool.
Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan scored twice for City playing as a false-nine against the Championship outfit.
Samuel Edozie got City off to a strong start with a close-range finish early on, only for the Tangerines to equalise with a Luke Garbutt penalty.
Riyad Mahrez put City back in control after half-time before Gundogan netted a brace.
Speaking after the game, City boss Pep Guardiola was pleased with the performance.
"It was so demanding. I was really impressed with Blackpool - they have a young side with quality," the Catalan told City's website.
"They lost two or three balls in the buildup in the first minutes but continued to do it. They did really well.
"We played against a good side – they did very well in many things, especially in the build-up. We had to do things to regain the ball as quick as possible.
"One more day (to the new season), no injuries and one more game. The players are coming back, but we need time."
