Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola ordered Christmas Eve training for his players - at corners.

The Sun reports he scrapped his squad's day off on Christmas Eve after their shock home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Guardiola set up the session because he is fuming at their inability to score from corner kicks.

The change upset some stars, including Gabriel Jesus, who had planned to spend the day celebrating Christmas with his family from Brazil.

Jesus, 21, was subsequently missing from City's squad for the Boxing Day loss at Leicester, with his absence explained as “a small knock".
